Det Norske Vertas, the Norwegian body that awards ISO certificates for organisations that comply to the stingent quality norms such a certification demands, has awarded the certificate to two leather product manufacturers, one from Calcutta and the other from Kanpur. The Calcutta based Trans Rubber Industries manufactures leather products and industrial belts, while Kanpur based Allied Leather Finishers makes finished leather and shoe and boot uppers. Both are members of Central Leather Council. |
