Indian Footwear Components Manufacturers Association (IFCOMA) was established in 1992 to bring the component manufacturers on a single platform

• to understand the problems related
• to make faster growth of this sector and
• to support the footwear industries in improving their quality, services and marketability in the domestic and International market.

Ever since its inception, IFCOMA has been presenting the views to the government of India and organising seminar and meetings for better interaction amongst the members, government bodies and with the shoe manufacturers worldwide. Showing continuous growth, IFCOMA members have also made very good entry in the export of their products to different parts of the world. Most of the footwear exported from India are largely produced from Indian components.

Objectives

• To represent the problems of Indian footwear component manufacturers to various Government, Semi-Government and other concerned bodies.
• To have interaction in amongst the members for development of quality products of international quality to face the global competition in the new liberal economic.
• To promote the healthy growth of footwear component industry.
• To promote the growth of footwear component exports.
• To hold periodic conference, seminars and meeting for all round product development.
• To promote goodwill amongst component manufacturers and government bodies.
• To arrange foreign collaborations, technical development and to avail of government assistance where so ever possible.
• To obtain concession from State and Central governments for the development of footwear component industry.
• To safeguard the interest of Indian Footwear Component Industry vis a vis import of foreign footwear components.
• To promote the export of Indian Footwear Components in international markets.
