Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce Set up in 1966 to facilitate trade between India and Italy, Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce has been providing a variety of services including trade information, market research, translation and interpretation, assistance to set up joint ventures, trade fairs, seminars etc. The chamber is also a member of Assocamerestero, the apex organization of Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad, which links it to bilateral Italian Chambers in 60 countries. The basic objective of the Indo-ltalian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is to increase Indo-ltalian interchanges through increased trade and collaboration - both technical and financial. The activities of our Chamber are thus two-dimensional: Promotional: We promote bilateral trade and collaborations by creating channels for meetings, business contacts and opportunities, thus strengthening mutual understanding between Indian companies and their Italian counterparts. Assistance: This assistance is to institutions and associations with which the Chamber collaborates in the organisation of events and meetings. The assistance also is to individual companies, which are helped from the stage of making the initial business contacts to feasibility support in drawing up their projects upto the stage of implementation and day to day activities. Sourcing and Selling of Products: A set of services aimed at Italian and Indian companies wishing to source and sell products from and to each other. Assistance is given to companies giving details about the product they wish to export/import and the chamber identifies prospective buyer/sellers for their products Exploring the Market: The chamber carries out market research and provides information on whether the product is already in circulation or will be a new product in the market, the market size of the product, manufacturers, prospective buyers and sellers. Representation : If an exporter wishes to have a liaison office in the other countries the chamber assists in identifying suitable agents, buyers, dealers and distributors for their products Liaison Or Branch Office in India: The chamber helps companies in Italy open up liaison or branch offices in India by providing information on cost of living, renting of office space, government permissions, bank accounts, tax registration, staff recruitment, indication of salary levels, and office premises Technology Transfer: For companies searching for the right collaborator to transfer or acquire technology the chamber provides services in the form of partner identification for transfer of technology, interaction with potential partners by way of meetings and discussions to be held either in India or Italy. Joint Ventures In India: In case an Italian company is seeking to expand its operation in India or an Indian company is seeking out long term Italian collaborators, the Chamber helps in identifying, evaluation and negotiations with the potential partners, helping in finalizing agreements of the joint venture, market survey for the joint venture product, permissions required from the government, and the Reserve bank of India, advise on fiscal and customs related matters, Identification of auditors, legal advisors, and appointing of directors. Institutional Promotion: The chamber helps businessmen expand their business to international market by promotion of trade fairs and exhibitions in the city of Milan the world's second largest fair and exhibition grounds, tour packages for delegations, space booking as exhibitors, delegations to or from Italy, invitation and recommendation letters for visas, seminars and workshops on different sectors, and also enabling one to one meeting with delegates.
